Reishi Mushroom Butter Sauce Recipe
This medicinal mushroom and butter sauce requires minimal ingredients and is great over pasta or roasted vegetables. We used our reishi mushroom powder to make this, but it would also be excellent with lion’s mane, turkey tail, or any other favourite mushroom you may have.
You will need the following ingredients:
1 leek (white portion only)
1/4 cup soup broth
1/4 pound unsalted butter (room temperature)
2 tbsp reishi mushroom powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Slice the leek lengthwise, and then horizontally into thin strips. In a pan on medium-high heat, sauté the leeks and 1 tbsp of butter until the leeks have just softened. Stir in soup broth and bring to a boil.
Next, remove from heat and slowly whisk in the butter, a small amount at a time. Stir in your reishi powder, salt, and pepper. Serve and enjoy!
