Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Strain the liquid and discard the solids.
Place the strained liquid back into the pot and add the honey.
Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Pour the liquid into a jar and let it cool.
Store sealed in your refrigerator for up to 6 months.

Wild cherry cough syrup can be taken orally to help relieve symptoms of a cough. It is usually taken by the teaspoonful every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. It is best to take it at the first sign of a cough and can be taken up to 4 times a day. It is not recommended for children.
