Yarrow Jalapeño Hot Sauce Recipe

This yarrow hot sauce is excellent on scrambled eggs or burritos. The fresh parsley acts as a base, and the lack of vinegar gives a refreshing change from most store-bought hot sauces. Feel free to add more or less jalapeño, this sauce tastes great even without the added heat.

You will need the following ingredients:

1 medium bunch of parsley

1-3 medium jalapeño peppers

1 tbsp dried yarrow flowers, stems removed

½ tsp coriander seed powder

1 tsp cumin seed powder

1 tsp garlic powder

¼ cup cold water or vegetable broth

¼ cup olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

In a blender or food processor, pulse all ingredients until roughly chopped and combined. Serve immediately. This sauce may also be stored in the fridge for up to several days.
